A successful retro standard motorcycle balances nostalgia and performance, style and rideability. Now, 54 years after the first V7 and 13 years after the first modern recreation, Moto Guzzi has released the fourth generation of that modern iteration of the V7 with an all-new engine and chassis.

A first ride review of the V7 Stone, a modern classic roadster with a 853cc V-twin engine and a Centenario edition inspired by a 1955 racebike. The reviewer praises the V7's sound, feel, and style, and shares some updates and details of the model.

The ride quality is ok, engine is great so far, and, as a package, is ok! For the same amount of money, you could get something with far better performance, comfort, reliability, fit and finish and dealer network. But then, you wouldn't have a transversal V-twin Guzzi.
